Vathi is the main port of Meganisi .

Approach Vathi (38°40'16N / 020°46'34 WGS84 )
The approach of the the port can be tricky .The houses cannot be seen until you sail into the bay . Once the lighthouse can be identified the port is straight forward .
Mooring
Go stern or bows-to the quay if any space is available .Good shelter , good holding although strong NW winds can make it uncomfortable and even dangerous at times .Alternatively go at the marina

Spartochori is a large bay on the NW side of Meganisi . A visit to the village will give you the opportunity to enjoy the amazing view from above. Is just 15min walk from the port.

Approach Spartochori (38°39'55N / 020°45'41 WGS84 )
Approach free of dangers . The village at the top of the cliff above the bay is easily identified and will guide you straight to the entrance of the bay .
Mooring
Go stern or bows-to the quay if any space available .At some berths mooring lines are available . Care must taken not to obstruct the ferry berth . Alternatively go to one of the floating pontoons which are managed by the tavernas , mooring lines - shore power - water supply are available . There is no charge for berthing on these pontoons but you have to visit their tavernas . Good shelter but NE winds can make the place uncomfortable and dangerous at times .
