Preveza - Ionian destinations - Sailing information

 In the town of Preveza which is just inside the entrance of Amvrakikos gulf you can find almost everything and also you can explore the mainland , the rivers and some important archaeological monuments of the area as it lies in the middle of all these .

Approaching can be tricky  especially if there are NW winds with the afternoon breeze , which cause a difficult swell around the entrance of the channel .The entrance to the channel is easy as long as you identify the first set of four pairs of port and starboard buoys which mark the entrance to the gulf .Care must be taken to a usual current which flowing out of the channel from the gulf

Mooring

Go stern or bows-to the town quay wherever is room . Good shelter and food holding .Alternatively you can go to Preveza marina .
