Parga - Ionian destination - Sailing information

Parga is a very popular destination . The place is full of tavernas , cafes , tourist shops and night clubs . You also can have some fun at ormos Valtou by doing water sports like water skiing , paragliding and much more .A visit to the old castle must done , the view is lovely  and the old alleys of the town will travel you do a different century .

Approach is free of dangers once you take care at the reef Spiridhonia which is about 100m east of Ak Ay Spiridonos at the W side of the entrance of the bay . The village is easily identified . 

Mooring

The town quay is usually occupied by  the local daily trip boats and ferries during the summer season .If any space is available go stern or bows-to the jetty .Good holding , good shelter .Alternatively you can go to ormos Valtou which is at the W side of the bay . Go stern-to the mole at the inner or outer with a long line ashore .Good holding . Shelter is good although strong  S winds can make it uncomfortable and even dangerous at times .Parga town is about 30 minutes by walk from Ormos Valtou , alternatively you can use one the water taxis which are operating at the area .
